Perfect for Entertaining While the Children Play.
The owners of this beautiful family home, in the lovely suburb of Niddrie, needed a drastic change to the layout and style of their huge family backyard. They wanted a place where their children could run free and play to their hearts content, while the adults relaxed and entertained on the deck.
The first step was to completely demolish the entire garden so that we could work with a blank canvas. We built a very large pergola and Spotted Gum deck with steps down to a large artificial grassed area for the kids to play on. A bluestone border was laid around the grass area to give it a modern finish. We built a concrete retaining wall with a bluestone paved step down to a lower level and completed this area with our custom made mud kitchen for the kids to cook on. The most exciting part of this Children’s dream garden is the large in-ground trampoline that we built, complete with drainage.
Finally, we built an exposed aggregate driveway, custom made gates and installed plants and irrigation systems. Our apprentices say this project was their favourite to work on due to the in-ground trampoline they regularly played on!
